  • Monitoring Spam blacklists in exchange

    Hi There,

I recently set up connection filtering on one of our exchange servers to use the spamhaus blacklist. I don't however know how to find out how to check if it is working or how much spam it's blocking.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

I think that the best way is to query the company that owns the BL that you are using.
I'm sure it has a statistics of how many emails were block that were sent to your domain.

If you want stats, then use a third party tool.
Something like Vamsoft's ORF will use blacklists and give you stats on how much email it is blocking (or not). Plus it gives you more control over the blacklist operation.

For the record, I don't use blacklists, I don't like the idea of someone else controlling what email I receive.
