To elaborate even further, you want to have hotmail go through your Exchange Server?

Re: Sending and receiving emails from certain set of domains

Tell them to open a browser, logon to their Hotmail account, and work.

You cannot configure Exchange to receive mail as Hotmail, not unless you hack into the world DNS server and steal Hotmail's MX records...

As for sending as Hotmail - that CAN be done, question is what will it help achieve, as the returning mail will still be sent to the "real" Hotmail.

Re: Sending and receiving emails from certain set of domains

Why not just kill their exchange mail box and let them use a browser?

How are you going to stop them using other web based mail services?

Could you give us the background so we can understand what you are trying to do

Let me have shot at guessing his mind

Could it possibly mean that he wants an Exchange mailbox to only be able to send to and receive from a Hotmail account from his Exchange account...

No, he can't do that. He CAN have a user ONLY RECEIVE MAIL FROM certain users or contacts, but he'll need to add any Hotmail email as a contact in order to do that.

                3rd-party tools only.

                Sorry.

                  Agreed.
I was just trying to get to the bottom of what Skak12 was asking.
