  • MVMM Profile - Wkasdo

MVMM awardees will be featured on the Wall of Fame. Here is the info submitted to us by our fourth MVMM - Wkasdo:

I'm a Directory Services MVP from Netherlands. I came onto the forum using Google, looking for something I no longer recall. What struck me immediately was the international character of the forum. A lot of other forums, even the english-language ones, tend to be strongly regionally oriented in my experience. Coming from a small country myself (Netherlands), I like this international aspect.

I also found that there is a large amount of interesting questions, and that is the other reason I stick around. I tend to mostly answer questions instead of asking them. I guess that goes for most of the regulars. But I thought I'd mention why I do that. First, it is always nice to help people out when they are in trouble. Sometimes you can really make a difference. Secondly, one can always learn from an interesting question. Often a question will lead me to a short bit of research and experimentation and I'll end up knowing more then I did before.

So why is that important to me? Well, my business depends on what I know about Windows, and Active Directory in particular. I work for a large international consulting company that will remain unmentioned here. My daily job involves designing Active Directory for medium and large companies, and the Windows infrastructure around it. Lately, I worked a lot with MIIS which I'm sure nobody has heard about (yet!).

          Congratulations Wkasdo !

Great to have you with us !

P.S.: MIIS ? MMS was a much better name. Why did they have to rename it ? Even WIIS would be a better name ( http://www.mail-archive.com/activedi.../msg15231.html )

Thanks guys! It sure is a good feeling to be appreciated.

Sorry for not responding earlier, I was out in the UK in a 4-star hotel... without broadband! Strange country

I'm sure I'm not the most deserving person out there, but the nice part of the MVMM system is that it, well, revolves every month so all regulars should get their turn. I guess.
