    There were a few posts that were just blatant advertising.
    I'm just wondering... Can't you just delete/edit the post so to discourage this. Then ban/suspend the user.

    I'm sure that people wouldn't be too upset with this.

    It doesn't matter to me too much but locking the thread still engourages this.

    Perhaps replacing the message with:

    "This post was advertising:
    If you wish to advertise on this site please contact ...."

    Just a thought....

    Unfortantely a new type of spam is appearing and growing rapidly, message board / forum spam. Looks like message boards need spam filters too!

      Yeah, I've been away for a few hours and I will now delete those posts and block that user.

        Don't missunderstand... not a complaint, just a thought to discourage the behaviour.....
