Why do I have to subscribe to a thread that I have just created?

I would like to be able to see my thread in CP without having to go back and find my topic and subscribe to it.

I would also like to be automatically subscribed to any thread that I post in.

I would also like to be able to see all of my posts in CP.

    Thanks.

Thread tools --> subscribe to this thread

I think it would kill the database is every user is going to auto subscribe to a thread he/she just posted in.

      Re: Suggestion

Every user DOES automatically subscribe when he or she posts.

Quick Links...Subscribed threads. You don't go to control panel.

HOWEVER, I tend to use the "New Posts" link under the good evening message... then I can read and if appropriate answer ANY threads that are new since I was last here.

This isn't automatic (for me at least), you have to select it in the Additional Options section after your post before you post.
As I type this post I scroll down past the Submit/Preview buttons and I have the Thread Subscription options. I don't know if it matters which of the Submit/Reply buttons you use. (There are two sets.)

To test, press Post Reply to this post and just scroll down.

          Re: Suggestion

I think it might be an option to subscribe in the control panel then but I would have set it right at the beginning... and therefore don't remember. However for me "Subscription" doesn't mean necessarily getting an email; it just means I can go back to it easily when I come to the website by selecting "Subscribed Threads" as above.

Ok, I found where you set it.
Control Panel / Edit Options / Messaging & Notification / Default Thread Subject Mode

The default for mine was set to no subscription.

            Thanks everyone.
