    Folks,

I got an OnePlus One invite for a 64GB device, but they won't deliver to my address or support Ireland (insert expletives) Tried to a parcel motel address and still getting odd message.

Invite is valid for another few hours.

I have clicked on most of the links on the site and I cannot find any mention of where this business is based. On that alone I think you were lucky not to have become involved with them. Then again, I may just be a suspicious, paranoid, old fart.

Paranoia is OK, sometimes even encouraged in these parts.

This review suggests they are owned by OPPO, so Chinese.

Chinese eh. I wonder if they have hard coded any data nicking instructions in it. Buy that phone, have a Cloud account and in the words of a certain Private Fraser, "We're dooomed, we're dooomed".

                Re: OnePlus One invite

We already know the US, UK and Germany monitor everything, POTs, email, voice mail, snail mail, travel, credit cards, social security numbers mobile phone and data and all the other tracking ID's they know about and we don't yet.

The US won't use Checkpoint for some places.
Telcos are using the cheap ass Cisco ripoff network gear from China.
Apple kit is made in China (but designed in California so thats OK).

Financial institutes are all regulated by the central banks, big wippee whoo.
We lie on ISO/ RPF and SLA docs (well we may tell the truth, but after the marketing gets at it...)

Cloud is on demand, broad network access, resource pooled, rapid and elastic and measured. Yet its expensive, network dependent and only suitable for foggy applications (OK MVC/ web interface/ web browser based, and a few more )

And your paranoid about a phone from China.

Paranoid ...yes, but are we paranoid enough?
