  • Infecting a PC that has no network connections...

An article from the end of October describes an infection vector that uses soundwaves. A machine can be infected even when it has a fresh OS install, no network card, no wireless, no external power, and no disk (CD/DVD) or USB connections.

Man this is scary shit. I am getting more and more paranoid every day. I refuse to have that touch/wave pay option on my bank ATM card coz that can be easily phished. I have Bluetooth turned off since that can suck you phone dry of all your "data" by someone 10 metres away from you. Might be time to go back chiselling messages into lumps of rock. Hell, we can't even use encryption on messages anymore due to either govt agencies being able to hack it or by govt agencies insisting on having a backdoor built into the program.

Thanks atheist I am old and dying and won't have to put up with this crap much longer.
