  • So, what type of items would you like to buy with the Petri logo?

    Just experimenting with this idea:

If it was possible to get stuff such as T-shirts, mugs, business card holders, stuff like that - what items would you like to get from here with the site's logo on it?

    T Shirts, probably not
    Polo shirts, probably yes
    Mugs, possibly yes
    Biz card holders, probably not

If you gets too many replies to deal with easily, perhaps a SurveyMonkey would help?

      Mugs by all means
Tee-shirt possibly (but I would want a "moderator" one )

Are USB keys too obvious for an IT forum?
Mugs, pens etc probably OK, T-Shirts I don't think so. In fact basically avoiding any of the overpriced tat that is available in the MCP eStore is a good idea IMO.

The biggest issue on that store is the exhorbitant postage charges for us non-Stateside folk.

, for us humble members, you could increase sales hugely by offering to put our Petri Points on the shirt - when we get more points, we'd have to buy a new shirt...
          Best wishes,

I'll second that. Private couriers are pretty expensive.

For example, I was hoping to get a neat mug with VI command reference from a nerd-webshop for el cheapo price of $9.99. On the checkout there were two shipping options: DHL for $29 and UPS for $32. Guess I do not want stuff at that price.

Hmm... A T-shirt with the MVM emblem on it... I would go for that.

I'd probably stop at a coffee mug or pens, small things like that.

I'm the sort of person that doesn't even like wearing shirts with nike (for instance) logos on them - I prefer plain colours and no emblems etc

I would go for the "My other PC is a datacenter" sticker.

Uh guys, Daniel himself isn't in the USA (nor is the domain), so I think he's already thought about that

Yeah, the forum staff should be able to purchase ones with admin / mod / staff on it.

It's your punishment for any more awful jokes about resolution, buy one item for every forum member.

                            Pro-fitted baseball hats!

                            T-shirts, of course.

Maybe a sheath for my LART.
