  • Change of Username

    Hi,
I know this is bit late, but wondering if it is possible to change my username without losing the postings in the forum.

Initially I was desperate to sign-up and hence did not coin up any fancy name like Dumber, Ossian, Wullieb1, Nanopeptide .

If this is a big hassle, then would you kindly permit me to register with a different username and the same email ID.

    Cheers,

    Pankajb

This is one for Daniel or an Admin...
I believe it has been done in the past

Why not PM Biggles (as DP is away) with a link to this and your intended username and see what they have to say?

            Hi all,

I have sent a PM to Biggles77 with lots of so that he doesn’t turn me down.

            Excuse me for that.

May be I am going bit Dyslexic or time to change my specs.

            You are indeed Terrapeptide

Because this is a Coffee Lounge I thought let me take this opportunity to express my feelings towards the Moderators and other member of the forums whose valuable contribution keep the forum active.

Probably you are not aware what invaluable service you guys are providing with your relentless toil to IT Admin communities across the globe.

In my experience, there have been number of instances when I was faced with a challenging IT task and was utterly confused not knowing how to proceed. With our famous Mr. Google, I could find several sites that provided me the information about what can be probably done. But it is totally a different ball game in a live environment where what you do can cause a bit of mess-up thereby having a serious impact on the business and ones job.

That is the time the only place I found that I could seek for help is my favourite Petri-forum.

Here we have Moderators & members who have extensive practical knowledge & experience to provide the right direction based on an individuals situation. This is what makes the forum such a great place and a goldmine of knowledge. I am sure there are numerous other guys in the forum who have faced such situations as myself and found help at the time of crisis.

Once again millions of thanks to all.

            You guys simply rock.

            Cheers,

Pankajb - till Biggles77 is satisfied with his and changes to whatever name I requested.

Did you hear about the Dyslexic, insomniac, agnostic?
He lay awake night after night wondering if there really was a Dog.

And tune in again next week for more "Typing in a British Accent" here on Radio 4. Coming up next, the Archers, so better turn off your radio now.
