  • Any guitar players out there?

Ive been told by the other half to get rid of some of my junk out of the spare room so one of the things to go was my guitar amp. Now to get around me no longer having an amp ive plugged my guitar into the line in on my pc. Of course works fine but there is no distortion. Does anyone know of any (free) software that will do this?

    Cheers

Well plug your axe into the line in or mic on your PC, load of gnuitar and away you go! Fire up winamp or whatever, play and mp3, set the distortion on gnuitar and away you go!!

Saves having to haul out my amp from under the bed (wife gets tired of dusting the beast!).
