And did Antivirus 2009 clear up the infection?

        2 2 was 1 2.

                LOL

Yeah, just in case some readers haven't figured it out, that's not a real virus pop up, just a standard login warning screen that they created to say that

                  On the server.
Good luck getting that off there, my sister managed to get it onto her XP laptop and I had rare fun getting it cleaned.

This is quite a nasty and clever bit of malware though, to the average user it's quite convincing. The Register have a nice feature on it here.

Re: I work with a bunch of gits...

On a mostly unrelated note... this thread taught me another gem of Brittish slang. Google tells me that a "git" is another way to refer to a "rotter". Now to find out what a rotter is...

a scoundrel and a bounder usually.

                        Hope that helps some.

Git was a purely Rimmer insult as I recall, smeg head was the insult of choice for the rest of the crew.

On a related note my flatmate at Uni and I used to play a lot of computer games, and rather than shouting abuse at each other when we won the preference seemed to be sitting back, crossing your arms and saying "Ah, smug mode"
