  • Microsoft polls and why you should fill them in

Like most forum members, my company deals mainly with MS software. And like probably most of you, I get constant emails from Microsoft too. MS Press flash, Technet Flash, MCP Flash, Security bulletins and loads of others I can't remember right now.

Anyhoo, apparently I filled in a survey a while back. I have no recollection of this, but whilst I was at a customers site on Thursday afternoon the office got a phonecall telling me I'd won an XBox. I got a congratulations email and on friday afternoon a brand new XBox 360 Elite arrived at the office for me!

    Lucky you
I somehow managed a 2008 Ent 25CAL server retail box a couple of months ago and am not having nearly as much fun as I think you will!
    cheers

Retail box eh. Guess that is worth more than an XBox 360. If you sold it then you could purchase the 360 and a multitude of games to go with it and still have enough for a few cases of brown soda.

I won a retail box of SBS2003 direct from MS.

Can't remember which survey I filled in for that though...
                Best wishes,

I'm always out of luck when you can win some prices.
So I don't think I'll ever win something from Microsoft

First time I've ever won anything.

It's been helpful with my studying actually, getting XBox Live to work with ISA Server isn't that easy.

It shouldn't be that hard with the nice (still not as good as Check Point) logging

Re: Microsoft polls and why you should fill them in

The nice chaps at isaserver.org had written a guide, but it was for ISA 2000 and I'm running SBS Premium with ISA 2004. It was simple enough once I found the list of ports and protocols, but Microsoft don't officially support XBox Live with ISA.

Apparently so, according to the chaps at isaserver.org although the post was from 2005. ISA is a corporate product and the XBox is a home entertainment product, so according to Microsoft no one should use them together.
