    I just thought I would share this, as it conjured up all sorts of images and excuses for poor network performance

    She added that data travelling across electricity cables can be slowed down by what else you have plugged in.
    So, can we start using excuses like:
    "Sorry, but the data is stuck in the office kettle -- you'll have to wait till after teatime for your printout"
    or
    "Your file has been redirected to the lighting circuit. If you look closely at the flickering, you'll see all the bits are still there"
