  • Shift-right-click on folder not displaying open command here

Hi! Re: http://www.petri.com/quickly_open_co...dows_vista.htm (i.e., shift-right-clicking on a folder to display the open command prompt here option):

I believe this was working, but now it isn't, and I have no idea what I might have done to "break" it - what would break it? How do I fix (i.e., restore) it? Thanks!

Re: Shift-right-click on folder not displaying open command here

I suggest applying the following registry key to add Open Command here:

    ----------------
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell\Open Command Prompt Here\command]
    @="cmd.exe /k pushd %L"

    -----------------

Thanks. OK that got Open Command Prompt Here to appear in the menu when I right click on a folder, but when I select it, I get the following in a modal error (white X in red circle) dialog: "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Set Associations control panel."
