  • Need registry from Vista/IE7/Outlook

    Hi folks,
We have a user with a laptop that is getting the dreaded "operation has been canceled due to restrictions on this computer" when clicking links in Outlook and nothing seems to work. The only thing left is copying the registry from another Vista machine but we don't have one handy at the moment.

    HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Classes\htmlfile\shell \open\command

Can anyone pull a copy of this key from their registry?

    The KB is here:

Presumably then, resetting the IE settings as suggested on the KB didn't help?

    Default REG_SZ is

    "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome
