  • SP2 - why is it hidden from us?

    SP2 for Vista/2008 has been RTM since April 2008.

    However, no reference for it has been made in Windows Update or other official sites.

    Why?

    Only 1.4 Gb -- I remember when drives were smaller than that.

    Interesting its a combined service pack for Vista and Server 2008

    As you say, not advertised even within Technet

      I was looking on TechNet last night and couldn't find it as a stand-alone component. I found it bundled with Vista and Windows Server 2008 but not separatley.

        its under Technet Plus subscriber downloads
        (and I was wrong about the size -- only 500 Mb for x86

            Thing is why hide it, why not publish it, why put in on a subscribers-only website?
