  • Windows Aero/WinSat FAIL!!!!

Tried enabling Windows Aero and it crashes and just doesn't work. Then when I try to log in, the desktop doesn't show up. I have to CTRL+ALT+DEL, then cancel that to get to the desktop. I then go back to Vista basic of course so I don't get that error.

Question is, how do I get this to work?

Have you installed all the latests drivers for the machine, in particular the video driver???

What are the specs of the machine??

Yep, everything updated. These are brand new machines (Dell Optiplex 755)

        Intel Dual Core 3.16GHz
        4MB Ram 800MHz
        10K RPM HD's (Velociraptor)
        ATI 256 2400 XT
        Vista Business

I've read somewhere about the Intel driver XPDM (?) that cause this, but windows wants or needs the WDDM drivers.

Do you know where I can check for this driver?

        I'm not sure...
