  • Can Computer be the first icon in Windows Explorer

    I have started using Vista Ultimate and I wonder if Computer can be the first icon in Windows Explorer.
    I have always worked like this in XP and used TweakUI to set it up
    It is my preferred method of working and have not yet found a way to do it in Vista. despite studying a book and trying to find a tweak proggy that will do it for.
    Can it be done?

    Slightly related, but of use, is to remove the Favorites panel at the top of the Explorer default view:

    How to hide Favorite links in Explorer and browse dialog boxes:

    My concern is that I am not sure of the GUID for Computer anymore. Prior to RTM the GUID that could be used was (shown as an example command line):

    Explorer /E,::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}

    Explanation: The object MyComputer is a namespace which has the CLSID: {20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}

    I have reason to suspect this was changed in RTM, but am not near a Vista machine to test as I write this.
