    Dear all,

    I have an erro with an application it was working fine before I think an update, but I'm not sure.

    Error (429)

    Error Text: Activex component can't create object

    Source: ScriptingModule.RaiseScript() (Line 0)


    Any idea on how to troubleshoot this ?

    Need more info.

    What are you doing when this error occurs? Is this a dialog box? Anything in the event log?

    Padova -- not too far from Milano.

        Unfortunatly the application isn't a well known one ( http://www.pat.it/solutions/helpdesk...e4d97227f411c).


        The error is generated during the application startup and is a mesasge box I will attach a screenshot of for convenience...

            pat says not yet supported on Vista ;-( nothing more...

              So the update was from XP to Vista? That would have been oh so helpful in your original post.

              ActiveX is basically a type of DLL -- in other words, client side executable code. If PAT has some component that is OS dependent then you'll have to wait till they upgrade their stuff.

                Fixed by PAT support: I somehow lost the msscript.ocx registration.
