  • Media Center ibrary: suddenly empty

    Dear all,

I just started my Media Center interface from Vista Ultimate and the mesage is "no video found. You are looking to an empty folder". Same for pictures and music.

Obviously they are plenty of data.

Can the file association affect this ?
Any other idea on how to populate back my Media Library ?

    Looking forward for an update.

    Simone

Dea all, this is now fixed.

If you are one of the unlucky guys that installed Nero 7.0.5.9 then when you remove it ( or you upgrade to 7.7.5.1 that will remove old version before installing ), you will mess up all multimedia extensions in your registry.

Yesterday night browsing internet to find a solution I found the following post that fixed everything for me:

I also attch here the corresponding registry fix. You may receive a warning that now all keys are imported in the registry when you double click it, but after a reboot that will unload all locked keys, everything is fine.

Remember to rename the TXT file to a REG file
