Are you trying to create NFS Shares on 8.1 or to access NFS resources
    If the latter:

If the former, it appears PowerShell is your friend:

Re: Win 8.1 and Unix Services

Thank you for the reply. Yes, I should have specified some more detail. I was trying to setup an NFS share on Windows 8.1

I have had a look through PS and have found out that the NFS functionality, from a desktop function, is only available in Windows 8.1 Enterprise addition.

Does anyone have any suggestion as to an alternate utility/App.

What I am trying to do is be able to house ISO files on my PC and be able to access them as a DataStore from my ESXI host (LAB). The VM host currently is down to one drive so to do an install to that drive using an ISO that is located on the same physical drive is extremely slow and inefficient.

Which Windows 8.1 edition do you have?
[EDIT] Never mind - the miracle of leads to FreeNFS http://freenfs.sourceforge.net/[/EDIT]

I have the Home version. I had tried the FreeNFS before posting but wasn't' having much luck with it.
Since you pointed back to the same app I figured it must work. I have googled the app some more and found lots of users experiencing the same issues with app I was, then one poster had put up his configuration finds and from that I was able to get things working correctly. Thanks for the replies.
