  • error 0xd0000063 - User account issue

What does this error mean? I was only trying to install a printer driver through the Control Panel > user settings.

    OS: Windows 8

    See attached error 0xd0000063

Explanation does not quite make sense as I was using a connected account to install a printer driver, do I then need to create a local account instead?
You cannot convert a Local Account to a Connected Account using a Microsoft Account that is already being used for a Connected Account on the same PC. If you try this, you would get the error 0xd0000063. In order to convert the Local Account to a Connected Account in this scenario, the existing Connected Account with the Microsoft Account you want to use will first need to be deleted using Manage Users in the Desktop Control Panel.

    Jon80,

Judging by your other posts and this one, you may want to start with a fresh Windows install.

DO NOT USE registry cleaners and uninstallers.

In desperate situations I have used uninstallers but the norm should be the built in methods.
