  • Windows 7 compatibility tool for network computers?

    Hi guys,

I have a situation, I have around 250 computers on the domain. 150 of them running Windows XP on old hardware.

I need to find out if these old computers will support windows 7?

Microsoft has Windows 7 compatibility tool which can be run of the computers manually but I need something which will scan all the computers on my network and tell me which computers can run Windows 7 which can't

This way we can decommission which can't run Win 7 and buy new ones.

Will Microsoft System Center can do that? We are looking to buy this product I have never used it though.

    Thanks

I believe SCCM, if your getting it, will do this for you... or SCOM. Not sure.

But MAP Toolkit will do the job and it's free: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...s.aspx?id=7826
