  • intermittent status_access_denied

    Hi,

We have an home-grown delphi application that has an auto-deploy mechanism that worked perfectly under Windows XP but now only works once in a while under Windows 7. The auto-deploy mechanism tries to sync a directory that is on our file server (2008R2) with a local directory. Under Windows XP the syncs always work flawlessly. In Windows 7 if doesn't work most of the time. It works about 5% of the time. When it doesn't work, it syncs 2 of the 3 subfolders of the remote directory, but deletes the third one, as if it didn't see it on the server. When I do a packet capture using Wireshark, I see "status_access_denied" messages related to this directory.

    Any help would be appreciated.

what authority does the sync program run under ?
if you do it manually, using that authority, does it work ?

      Hi,

The application runs as the user. It is usually run through the login script, so that it is available in the system tray for the user. Multiple users have the issue, but a few ones don't.

is there anything different about the ones that don't have the issue ?(ie different group memberships, operating systems, network cards, network configurations, patch levels on the computer, patch levels on the appplication?)
