  • WIn7 shortcut promots UAC

    Hi there,

I am testing apps on a Win7 test box for a new SOE, and one of our apps relies on a java script to do a temporary registry change, HOWEVER this causes Win7's UAC to prompt a warning. Is it possible to stop it prompting for the Registry Change warning (as the script runs regedit) and just run the app? NOTE: The properties doesn't allow to run in Compatability mode as the shortcut is to a script not executable.

    Thanks.

    invoke a reg.exe import "regfile.reg" command instead of a regedit.exe /s "regfile.reg" command in your script.
