  • Win 7 Home Prem dropping off svr 2003

I have just connected 2 Win 7 Home Prem PC to my Win Server 2003 R2. they are not in the Active Domain. Issue arises if they are inactive for about 15 minutes, the server disconnects them.. Can this be changed to not happen??

    thanks

how do you mean, disconnects them?
you have mapped network drives, and they show as "disconnected' after 15 minutes?

What happens if you try and go into the drive.. does it become available, or does it just say "cannot be found"

    ?

      Hi

If this relates to Mapped drives to shares on your server?

Yes this normally happens at log off, and the drives will show a red X through them, have you checked the box "reconnect at logon"?

If this doesn't work you may need a simple net logon batch file to do the job for you I have found this to be a good way of making sure non domain PCs can continually use server shares.
