  • Windows 7 RESTORE

    Hi Everyone,

This might be a stupid question but, can the following be done, if yes HOW?

Run a backup on windows 7 using the built in backup tool, then take the usb backup drive to another/different windows 7 machine then restore a single file from the backup.

To do this in windows XP was very easy and straight forward, just need to catlog the BKF file.

Hope some on can help me.
    Regards
    Mark

IIRC backups are to a VHD file which you should be able to mount and access from system manager

If anyone else does not know how to do this, I just found out you can ATTACH VHD files via DISK MANAGEMANT in Windows 7..........
