  • IE9 icon missing from non admins

Hi. I am new to posting here so bare with me. I unintentionally approved IE9 through WSUS and after I realized what I had done I unapproved the update. Now in our labs, anyone that logs on does not have access to IE. No icons on Start menu or task bar. If I log on with admin rights and then log on as a user with no admin rights, the icon appears in the tast bar and works fine. I have re-approved IE9 in WSUS but that didn't make any difference. All lab computers have windows7 w/SP1. I am stuck. Searching the web for 2 days now for an answer. Can anyone help please? And thanks in advance!

Create a shortcut to the exe and place it in the C:\Users\Public\Desktop folder.
