    Have you checked your firewall?

Re: Problems connecting var soft to internet

So the problem applies on WiFi only, not via cable?
If so, the WAP needs checking to see if it is doing any firewalling itself

Tell us more about your infrastructure please

          Hi,

The problem is with the cable (I also replaced it) and not via WIFI.
          the WIFI is ok

I thought you said in post #1 that the cable was OK?

Can you explain your infrastructure a bit more?

Re: Problems connecting var soft to internet

              Hi,

              Sorry for the confusion.
I have 2 computers (LapTop and a stationary which has the problem).

What I meant was that the stationary computer which connected to the Cable is not connecting to the software in the list below. And that I have a LapTop which the software works OK with WIFI and I connected the CABLE to this LAPTOP and it also Worked ok.

they all connect to a home router and do NOT have the same IPs or Computer Name by mistake.

So, the issue is with the stationary Computer.

              Thanks

well, with the Office Activation - what's the error code it gives you?
                Also, does DNS work?

                  Hi,

the DNS is OK since IE, FF and Chrome do display the sites

Third party firewall (perhaps with AV)?

What AV software are you running?
