    Practicng Windows 7 USB disk partitioning with command:
    format fs=32 quick. I would like to return the drive to its former configuration. Looking for the appropriate command and syntax

    Once you have formatted it there is no 'undo' as such which will allow you to restore the previous configuration. What was the previous configuration? Have you tried to manually recreate the partition layout, assuming you made a note of it? Did you back-up any software that was on the drive?
    A recent poll suggests that 6 out of 7 dwarfs are not happy

      Try third party tools such as Ontrack Easy Recovery
      Whatever you do, do not let anything get written to the drive -- just disconnect it -- until you are ready to recover

      No guarentee they will work, so if you have data you need, get professional help
