  • Exception for "safely remove hardware"

I am using KVM extender on Windows 7 using USB ports and my keyboard/mouse are connected to this KVM extender. Sometimes I USB hard disks on the PC directly. The issue I am facing now is that after the USB disk usage, when I select "safely remove hardware" for USB disks my keyboard/mouse which is connected to extender becomes un-responsive. How can I force the KVM extender as an internal drive? or any other solution?

Have you tried plugging the USB disks into a different set of ports e.g. front instead of back, or plugging them into a dedicated USB3 port etc?
