  • Antiquated Lotus SmartSuite on Win7?

Does anyone happen to know if Lotus SmartSuite 9.7 will run on Windows 7? I found a doc on the IBM website which says that 9.8 will run, but we have some antiquated users using antiquated software, and it's version 9.7.

    It's x86 Win7 Pro we're considering.

    Many thanks,

    Jim

Not off the top of my head, haven't seen SmartSuite in about 10 years.

If it won't run natively or in compatibility mode I'm sure it will run on XP mode though, and apparently the requirement for Hardware Assisted Virtualisation has now been removed from XPM.

If it runs on XP then it will/should run on Windows 7 in XPMode. [For XPMode to run your CPU must be VT Compatible. As per post below, the VT requirement is now outdated]

Not any more. That requirement has now been removed.

              No problem. :hic:

I found the info on The Register, I don't think MS have made much of a fuss about it.
