  • Explorer Default Location via GPO?

    Hi Folks,

    is there a way to set the Windows Explorer Icon's default on 7/2008R2 Taskbars via GPO or Registry key? All I can find on the net is setting manually via properties... theres gotta be a way, right?

    greetings,

    Tobias

      Re: Explorer Default Location via GPO?

      Hi Windows 7 brings this cute Windows Explorer Icon in it's Taskband / Taskbar.. The Icon opens the freakin Library by default... I want to change the Location to say "Computer" via GPO or VBS, whatever comes handy...

      You can do this manually with right clicking on it, properties and chage the Target to
      Code:
      %windir%\explorer.exe ::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}
      But I'd really hate doing that for couple hundred users... Theres gotta be a better way...

      greetings
