  • increasing win7 memory

    Hi all

I have win7 ultimate 32bit with 2GB memory installed on my laptop.
few days ago i tried to "boost" my laptop using the "ready boost" feature
on my Disk on key. i gave it a 1.5 GB free space on the DOK to use for boost
but my computer didnt see it. it showed only the 2 physical gigs.

How can i make my laptop "see" and use more then this 2GB ?

I did exactly what this article says.
wherever i check in my laptop it shows only 2GB and not 3.5GB like it should
      after adding the flash memory

AFAIK ReadyBoost won't report the memory as physical RAM. It is an enhancement (Extension) of what was previously known as virtual memory.
There is a readyboost counter you can check on the performance monitor.
