  • You Have been logged with a temporary profile

    Hi All,

I have windows 7 Ultimate. joined to a domain. every time I log of, when re-logging it deletes my profile and loges me in to a temporary profile.

Does anyone know wher the problem is? I have try deleting the SID.bak file from the registry without any success..

Do you have roaming profiles set up?
have you tried removing the machine from the domain and re-adding it?

been using 7 on domain since the beta days. no issues.

No roaming setup..( run server 2003) I have try removing and adding - even uninstall the OS completely. Basically each time I restart my machine I get logged in to a temporary profile.

I can't say I've tried this but obviosly these guys have, so here is what they suggest:

Make sure the domain user account is not a member of the Guests or Domain Guests accounts.

Just delete the user from C:\Users and rejoin
If you have important files save them first and then do that
