  • unable to access my DMZ

    Hi,

I am testing Win7 and find it quite fast so far, but I just noticed a problem.
I cannot access my DMZ from my LAN the way I used to with my XP.

    LAN: 192.168.100.XXX
    DMZ: 10.0.4.XXX

It always worked with XP, gave me some problems with Vista SP1, and does not work at all with Win7.

Does anyone know how to fix it?

    Thanks in advance

    a bit more info:

I cannot reach my servers that are located in the US either (192.168.200.XXX). It used to work with my XP as well.

We have PIX firewalls/routers. Could they be the cause of the problems?

    Thanks in advance

Have you tried disabling the Win7 firewall and seeing if that works?

Does your Windows7 box have a different IP address. Chances are whoever configures your firewall has only allowed the IP address access to the DMZ. try giving your Windows7box the same IP address as your XP one had.

Re: unable to access my DMZ

I have created a special policy for the firewall, and it is off.

I am on DHCP, there is no restrictions on the PIX's to access either the DMZ or the network in the US (I am based in Belgium, and we have a leased line between the 2 sites).

I had already experienced similar problems with Vista SP1.
Could it be with the IPv6 and the PIX?

One more test that I have done this morning (with the same result that I had in Vista SP1)
I tried to access a domain with which we have a trust relationship, on 192.168.4.XXX, thinking that I would not get through.
and, to my surprise, I got connected.
To be booted 1 minute later.

            Anyone can help?

Bit of a long shot but have you tried SP2?

                  Problem solved.
My colleague suggested to use "route add"

                  Thanks
