  • Office 2k7 ?

"Program is too big to fit in memory"

    Somehow - I doubt it. However, it's a flaw i have found..

I've mounted the ISO file for our VLK office 2007 cd using VCDROM (Sure, it's for XP, but it seems to be working.. kind of. I can view data)
however, i get "program is too big to put in memory" when i try and run the setup.

And I've tried copying all the data out of the iso onto the local drive and installing it.. same deal.

(I also can't install cisco vpn client, but that's a whole other thread..

    Re: Office 2k7 ?

I have Office 2007 installed in Windows 7 using 512MB RAM on a Virtual PC. Works fine.

Is this this the same Windows 7 "machine" you previously had trouble with?

dont tihnk i really had issues before ?

This is my laptop.. about 9 onths old...
I suspect it;'s got to do with the vcdrom driver..so i ight bring the actual cdrom home.

Sorry, was another member and I got you mixed up.

VCDROM looks like a virtual CD ROM app whereas Office 2007 is on a DVD. Does the VCDROM also work with DVDs?

Daemon tools gets my vote too I have to say. If you've copied the DVD to disk and get the same error then it seems that it may be an OS issue though?
              cheers

yea, it's definitely an image issue.
I forgot to bring the disk home.. will try to remember to take my laptop into work on monday.

On a positive note, i got the Cisco VPN software to work !
