  • How to log just the error messages when using robocopy.exe

The log file created by robocopy.exe includes all the information, how can I just get the log with those error messages?

Have you read the manual Robocopy.Doc that is installed with Robocopy.exe? All the switches will be listed in there.
    1 1 was a racehorse.
    2 2 was 1 2.
    1 1 1 1 race 1 day,
    2 2 1 1 2

If the switch is not in Robocopy.doc then maybe the option you want is not available. This is a FREE program. If you require something that offers more exotic options then you may have to purchase something to suit your needs.

After having a quick browse at the doc that Biggles provided i ound the following

          /NFL

Turns off logging of file names. File names are still shown, however, if file copy errors occur.

          /NJH
Turns of logging of the job header.

          /NJS

Turns off logging of the job summary.

You would need something like the unix grep command. Check out some of these links

Have you tried the /NP switch??

What is the syntax you are using.

Can you post the exact line of code please
