What happens if you leave it to run for a while??

Where are your network drives located?? i.e locally to the machine or remotely??

It sounds to me like the system cannot located a network drive and is stuck in a loop.

Can you disconnect your mapped drives from the command prompt using the following command.

        net use %driveletter% /delete

Where %driveletter% is the letter of you mapped drives.
