  • New profile in windows XP

    Hi all,
I want to configure my son's computer to a new profile.
This profile should let him do the fallowing:

    1. logon the windows XP
    2. work on his MS Office
    3. surf the internet.

    It should prevent him from:

    1. installing any software/game etc. without ADMIN permission
    2. using emule

    can any one help?

    Thanks

You can make his account a limited user, but to do everything you either need some filtering software or be running off a server.

You should be able to prevent the running of Emule by enforcing Software Restriction Policies.

If Emule is already installed, you could also accomplish this by removing your child's NTFS permissions from the Emule program directory.
