  • Printer - Access Denied - Windows XP SP2

We moved our print server from Windows 2000 to Windows Server 2003. Clients are Windows XP SP2. Users get "access denied" when the choose the printer.

Some users have access denied message but can print. Some users cannot print and get access denied error message.

what I read from some KB is that, with the access denied information is, that they will not be able to manage their own print jobs.

    Additional Info

Permissions on the printer at the print server is set to

    Everyone to Print

Firewall is not enabled at the XP SP2 side.

Any thoughts Please? I would appreciate if someone who has gone through this could let me know what can be done at the XP side or at the Server side to
    get this issue resolved.

    check the permissions then:
    Everyone: Print
    CREATER OWNER: Manage Documents
Administrators: Print, Mange printers, Manage documents

this is afaik the default settings.
