         * The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few

             moments.

        * If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network

              connection.

         * If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure

that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Have you tried to FTP from a different machine.
May be the current FTP setting doesn't allow maximum connections simultaneously from same IP.

Select the check box maximum connections from same IP.
If this checkbox is unchecked unlimited connections can be made.

Yes, I have tried with same problem.

Select the check box maximum connections from same IP.
I am trying to use only two PCs.

I could not find something missing, though I repeated the configuration just to be in the safe site, I received the same error.

By the way I have no firewall on both PCs.

I have got two NICs on XP Desktop, I have been told that may be existing two NICs affect the FTP connection (I am not sure), by the way one NIC is connected to LAN and the I unplegged cable from other

If connecting to a router, have you enable Port Forwarding for 21 to the appropriate IP?
            1 1 was a racehorse.
            2 2 was 1 2.

The problem was with firewall, it has been enabled without my knowledge, at work.

              The problem has been solved.

              Thanks for all you Guys.
