Re: permissions on XP for office word dictionary

Haven't installed Office XP, but if it is like Office 2003 there are 2 options before you click off the final screen. One is the tick the box and it will automatically check for Office updates. The second option will delete the temporary install file if you tick it. Do you possibly remember ticking that option (assuming it is on Office XP) when you finished installing? It may explain why the MSOCache folder is missing. Another explaination is that you may not be able to see it. It is a Hidden folder and by default, Windows XP doesn't allow you to see hidden folders (and files).

            thnx for your help.

i think i might clicked on the remove temp installed files.
also my client windows shows hidden files.

            any way
if i erased them than that what can cause the problem that only admins can see the dictionary of WORD???

            should i reinstall it?
