  • Windows XP IP routing (NAT)

Hello, i have an Windows XP router where are two NIC adapters, one is connected to internet with public IP and the second to local network with 4 wired computers. Is possible to route the public IP to one computer in my LAN? For ex. if i want to run Web server on one computer in LAN, so i need to get direct access from the net...Is that in Windows possible? I mean something like NAT...

Re: Windows XP IP routing (NAT)

    Hello,
Internet connection sharing is an easy way to share a connection with a small number of other computers in the LAN. It is dedicated for SOHO.
That is almost all. If you need more like making application servers available for the Internet, switch to windows 2000/2003 server and use the built in RRAS.
there are also other several software and hardware solutions in the market that help you to accomplish this goal.
