  • windows 2000 sp4 crushes.

    Hello everybody ( "Hello dr' Nick..").

    I have a problem that I couldn't find a solution for it, although I've tried.
    My operating system is win 2000 sp4.
    When I'm working on my computer it's suddenly shuts down brutally and restarts.
    it's happening when I'm running any application but in most cases, when i overload on the computer.
    When I'm checking the event viewer I find the next message:

    "The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000001e (0xc0000005, 0xa00b6df0, 0x00000000, 0x00000005). Microsoft Windows 2000 [v15.2195]. A dump was saved in: C:\WINNT\Minidump\Mini013106-01.dmp. "

    I couldn't find a direct solution in Google.
    does anyone know what the problem might be?

    Have a look through the event logs and get the driver thats causing the error then update it.

      This could be a hardware issue. Anything from a bad memory chip, motherboard, CPU, and even (sometimes) a bad display adapter.

      Start to elimitae harfware parts and see what stops it.

        First of all, thanks Wullieb1 and Daniel for the quick response.

        I'll start with mem-test86 so I'll check my mems.
        after this, the newest part in my computer is my sound-card so it is next to be checked.

        I have two more questions:

        1. Could this problem occur from bad drivers?

        2. Is there a way that I can find out more accurately what is the problematic
        part ?
        (or I just have to find it manually?)

          As wullieb said, look for driver (and hardware) issues.
