  • Windows Key

In Win XP I see that the key (as shown by utilities such as Jellybean keyfinder) is in alphanumeric format. Looking in the Registry is is held as purely numeric. I am curious about the method of converting one to the other form?

    Mathematical algorithm.
    1 1 was a racehorse.
    2 2 was 1 2.
    1 1 1 1 race 1 day,
    2 2 1 1 2

I guessed it was an algorithm, but what is it - is it a Microsoft trade secret?

Have a little think about that question.......................................... .................................................. .................................................. ...........................

If you wanted to keep people out of your house and you used a combination lock on the doors, would you advertise the combination on the Internet, Newspaper, TV, radio etc?
