I checked the power options but all seems to be in order (i chose "never turn monitor/hard disks).
The only change i did perior to the problam is installing Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1

Have you tried restoring to a previous Restore Point?
      1 1 was a racehorse.
      2 2 was 1 2.

          First things first.

Have you checked your machine for viruses and spyware???

              Re: automatic log of

Do you see any special event ids prior, during, or right after the logoff?

Also, use RSOP (from an MMC console) to determine what effective GPOs you have on, and what settings are applied to the machine. Perhaps one of them has to do with this behavior.

                Thanks guys,
I recieved a tip and solved it by entering the screensaver options and unchecking the "on resume display welcome screen"

                  Re: automatic log of

Ok, so it wasn't a real logoff, just a welcome screen. Good to know.
