  • Profile transfering from workgroup to Domain

    Dear All,

I have around 100 - 150 Window XP Computer which is in workgroup.
I have created a Domain and now all the user will login as Domain User in there same Window XP Computer
How should i transfer there local profile ( which was in Workgroup ) to Domain Local Profile ?
Should i use Files and Settings transfer Wizard or Windows Easy Transfer, but i guess Windows Easy Transfer will not work for Window XP

    Thanks & Regards,
    Param

Re: Profile transfering from workgroup to Domain

Since it is XP, you will need to use FSTW

Alternatively you could bite the bullet and scrap most of the profiles -- use a script to copy Documents, Favourites and Desktop to a new profile

      Hi Ossian,

      Thanks for ur reply.
I had used FSTW, but it didn't work properly ( My setting of outlook was not properly transfered, the pst location has changed.)

      Best Regards,
