  • Windows XP Profiles.

    Hello All -

I would like to know what "Application Data" is stored in the application data folders and why there are 2 of them.

I know for example that some applications store there data in the application data folder if that data does not belong in the registry?

What are some examples of this? and which applications store data in which application data folder?

    Thank you,

    Re: Windows XP Profiles.

Office, Adobe products, Flash a lot of programs use it. I belive that the appdata is their if the program wants to store "the data" as a file, since the registry can only store values.
