  • disable windows account privacy.

    When creating a new windows account on an xp machine it ask you if you want to make your documents private.
    if i will click yes for privacy how can i revert to a non privacy status ?

    Change the permissions on the folder.
    1 1 was a racehorse.
    2 2 was 1 2.
    1 1 1 1 race 1 day,
    2 2 1 1 2

      can you be more specific ?
      do you meen the C:\Documents and Settings\user folder ?
      actually the question about privacy is happening when on an existing account you want to create a password like in the added picture.

        First you need to disable simple file sharing if its enabled.

        Tools->Folder Options->View tab->Uncheck Simple File Sharing

        Right click on the folder (Documents and Settings\Username)->Properties->Security tab->Add the users you want to give access to the folder->Apply the changes.
